Every November, the Central Band of the Royal British Legion returns to Epsom Playhouse for our annual Remembrance Concert, and its one of the most meaningful dates in our calendar.

Remembrance and Reflections is an afternoon of uplifting music celebrating music and camaraderie, alongside a moving tribute to those who served and sacrificed.  This year, the band is led by our new Musical Director, Steph Godwin, bringing a fresh perspective to a much-loved tradition.

This concert will be full of warmth and energy, featuring soloists from across the band; music from stage and screen, Eric Whitacre's stunning piece October as well as concert band classics such as the English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams and a reimagined Those Magnificent Airmen, with music to lift the spirits and set toes tapping.  At the heart of the concert is our Remembrance section, a time to pause and reflect with music such as Martin Ellerby's An Eternal Sunset by Land and Sea and Michael Kamen's Band of Brothers chosen to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces Community, past and present.

As the band of the Royal British Legion, Remembrance is at the core of who we are.  We hope you'll join us for an afternoon that is by turns joyful, poignant, and truly memorable, and a fitting way to mark Remembrance weekend together.
